Dear Members, السلام عليكم
It has come to the attention of the Executive Committee that certain conversations circulating on unofficial WhatsApp groups contain comments directed against PALPA Executive Committee and its functioning. Copies of the relevant conversations are attached for your reference.
For the information of the general membership, particularly those whose names appear in these discussions, please note that the PALPA Constitution is explicit on such matters. The judgment being cited in these conversations is self-explanatory and the conduct reflected therein falls under Rule 3.3.2.1 (Misconduct), as it is against the interest of the Association.
The Executive Committee does not wish to engage in unnecessary controversy. However, all members who are in default of PALPA Subscription and PALPA House outstanding dues, do not fulfil moral obligations or the constitutional provisions should not create such confusion amongst the membership.
A defaulter who wants others to join him and become a member NOT IN GOOD STANDING as per clause 2.1.7. of PALPA Constitution must understand that this is a grave violation and willful act to instigate membership. This activity by some is detrimental to the overall interest of PALPA, for which they are reminded to reconsider their personal stance in all seriousness.
You are further advised to refer to PALPA Constitution Clause 3.3.3, which clearly outlines the provisions related to suspension due to non-payment of subscription.
As the membership is aware, since the year 2020, the monthly subscription was not being collected. In accordance with the decision taken at the AGM held on 15th November 2025, the present Executive Committee has taken steps to facilitate members by offering the option to clear outstanding dues through installments.
Any act of instigating fellow members not to pay their subscription dues also constitutes Misconduct under Rule 3.3.2.1.
This is not merely a financial obligation, it is a matter of collective responsibility, professional integrity, and solidarity. Let us work together to ensure that PALPA remains strong, self-reliant, and united.
With Best Regards,
Capt. (Rtd) Haroon Abdullah
