This is in reference to the Constitutional Petition No. 999 of 2026 regarding medical of retired pilots, which PALPA won in the Honourable High Court of Sindh and the detailed judgement was passed on 14th May 2026. PIAHCL & PIACL have failed to implement the said judgement, despite several reminders to the officials concerned, ERP (Employees Related Program) has not yet been made operational.
The Executive Committee decided to file a contempt application on their failure to implement the said judgment.
As this is a contempt of Court Order by Federation of Pakistan & Others (PIAHCL & PIACL), PALPA has initiated contempt proceeding, filed an application in this regard yesterday i.e. 4th June 2026. The expected time for this case to be heard in the Honourable Court is approximately three weeks.
PALPA fully understands the trauma our members are experiencing vis a vis SLIC medical arranged by PIA authorities.
Please bear with us, we are doing our best to remedy this situation. In this regard, President and General Secretary have been asked for a meeting with CEO PIAHCL & CHRO PIA on 10th June 2026.
We are extremely confident that a decision to the benefit of all retirees will be reached soon.
