Dear Members,
This is to apprise you that the Special General Body meeting (SGM) was held on Sunday the 4th August 2019.
That the acting General Secretary, PALPA called the House to order at 1630 Hrs and by the grace of Almighty ALLAH, a large number of members in total of Seventy Nine (79) attended the meeting.
The meeting started with the recitation of Holy Quran and special Dua for departed souls of PALPA members and families, before commencement of the proceedings of the meeting.
The Acting General Secretary gave a detailed Power Point Presentation to the House of the last 18 months.
The President PALPA also welcomed the members and gave a short briefing, after which he opened the floor for each and every member to voice their sentiments and suggestions. All the input provided by the general membership was appreciated by the Executive Committee.
After a detailed discussion and amendments, the house unanimously approved the following resolution.
RESOLUTION
Due to the deteriorating working conditions and deliberate compromise on Flight Safety, on the part of the PIACL Management; the PIACL pilots’ fraternity by virtue of their sensitive nature of job, will not work against Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) and International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Safety Rules. In case of any mishap, PIACL management will be held responsible.
PALPA hereby, having left with no other choice, unanimously resolves to exercise its legal right to adhere to PIACL Personnel Policies Manual (PPM) and PALPA-PIAC Working Agreement 2011-2013, after post Hajj Operations.
Rest assured, the Executive Committee is fully cognizant with the ground realities, standing shoulder to shoulder with all the members and will INSHAH ALLAH resolve these issues amicably.
